Amazon FBA Box Size Limits for China to Japan Sellers

Measure the export carton, not the product package

Amazon box-size checks apply to the shipping carton or case pack that enters the receiving flow. Sellers should record outer length, width, height, gross weight, and carton count after final packing, not before inserts, padding, or master-carton changes.

Keep box data aligned across every file

The carton dimensions and weights should match the booking request, packing list, label file, and warehouse instructions. When the freight data and the Amazon shipment data disagree, receiving teams may need relabeling or manual review.

Check route and marketplace rules before palletizing

For China to Japan shipments, the final receiving market can affect carton handling, pallet build, and delivery instructions. Confirm the active Seller Central guidance and any prep-center rules before the cartons are wrapped or transferred.

Protect label readability

FBA carton labels need to stay flat, visible, and scannable after handling. Avoid label placement near seams, corners, straps, heavy tape, or areas likely to be covered by stretch wrap or carrier labels.

Escalate oversize or overweight cartons early

If a carton is close to a size or weight limit, flag it before pickup. Repacking in China is usually cheaper than discovering the issue after export, during prep, or at the destination warehouse.
