Label the finished pallet, not the draft stack

For China to US Amazon FBA freight, the useful label is the one attached to the finished wrapped pallet that will actually move through the route. Apply labels only after the final build is confirmed so the physical pallet and the data stay aligned.

Keep key labels visible after wrapping

Make sure pallet labels, shipment references, and any handling marks stay visible after wrap, corner protection, and top-sheet handling are finished. A label hidden under wrap is effectively the same as a missing label when the receiving team needs a fast read.

Match labels to the route documents

Pallet labels should agree with the booking, packing list, customs handoff, and delivery instruction. A clean label does not help if the route documents still reference a different pallet count, reference ID, or shipment version.

Build labels for transfer survival

If the pallet will pass through multiple handoffs before Amazon receives it, use label placement and protection that survives those touches. The route is smoother when the pallet can be identified immediately at each step instead of being manually re-marked later.

Check label ownership before dispatch

Before the shipment leaves origin, know who owns relabeling if a destination, prep, or shipment-plan change happens late. Sellers save time when label correction responsibility is settled before the freight is already in motion.
