Amazon FBA Pallet Requirements: Labels, Height, and Delivery Rules

Core requirements

Amazon expects pallets to be safe, stable, accessible, and correctly labeled. Cartons should not overhang the pallet, stretch wrap should secure the load, and labels must remain scannable after wrapping.

Pallet labels

Each pallet normally needs shipment labels placed on the outside of the wrapped pallet. Carton labels must also remain associated with the correct FBA shipment plan before the pallet is built.

Height and weight planning

Pallet height and weight limits vary by Amazon program, marketplace, and carrier setup. Confirm the current limit before loading because over-height or overweight pallets can trigger rejection, rework, or extra fees.

Carton stability

Use even carton stacking, avoid crushed lower layers, and place heavier cartons at the bottom. Mixed-SKU pallets need extra attention so receiving teams can identify carton contents without breaking the load unnecessarily.

Forwarder checklist

Before dispatch, confirm pallet count, pallet dimensions, gross weight, shipment IDs, delivery appointment, BOL details, Amazon reference numbers, and whether the truck needs floor-loaded or palletized delivery.
