Do not book before carton data is stable

Consolidated shipping depends on shared planning. If carton count, CBM, gross weight, or ready date keeps changing, the forwarder may assign the goods to the wrong load, quote the wrong minimum, or miss the planned cutoff.

Do not treat consolidation as customs insulation

Shared freight still needs clean invoice, packing list, product description, value, and compliance data. Sellers create risk when they assume the consolidated channel can absorb weak documents without delays or reclassification questions.

Do not ignore Amazon receiving requirements

The China-to-US freight leg is only one part of the job. Carton labels, pallet decisions, appointment handling, prep-center routing, and shipment references still have to match Amazon's receiving workflow.

Do not compare quotes without exclusions

A low consolidated rate may exclude pickup, destination handling, customs entry, duty assumptions, relabeling, palletization, storage, wait time, or final Amazon delivery. Compare the full operating scope, not only the shared linehaul.

Do not leave exceptions ownerless

When cartons are short, documents are late, or Amazon changes the destination, someone must decide quickly. Consolidated shipments slow down when every party waits for another party to own the fix.
